i apologize for the complete lack of updates. i kinda forgot about my little home here on the web. *to self* yeah that's a good excuse...

ahem.

okayy...so since i havent said anything in forever i will update you on my semi-boring life.

report cards went out yesterday. i gots a 4.0. :)

i got my hair chopped off yesterday! it looks fabulous. i will post pics...as soon as we take them.

my first concert with symphonic band was last night. we played for the high school and did a really good job, but got so beat by the wind symphony. they played a song called 'the typewriter' and a guy actually played the typewriter!

i went to see high school musical 3 last...saturday. it was amazing! i suggest you ALL see it. :) the clothes are great and it all ends happily.

halloween.......

i wore my beautiful designed-and-sewn costume! i was supposed to be the wicked witch of the west...but i wasnt green so i think i was just a wicked witch. i wore this super dark black eyeshadow and black liquid eyeliner and black lipstick. it was gothtastic.
we're allowed to wear our costumes to school here...so i wore mine (of course) along with about everyone else. all my friends were shocked when i told them i made my costume, they flipped out over my hair, and my seminary teacher decided to use me as an example. we were talking aout hypocricy today, and he was going around saying what some people were dressed up as and how he knows we're not really what we looked like. he says i'm 'not as rough' as i looked today. he thinks im sweet deep down lol
it seemed that everyone at school was either a faerie or someone from the eighties except for the handful of original people like me. :)
my friend mckenzie made her costume too...she was a dead bride.
i went to my other friend jordyn's party tonight and went trick-or-treating with her and her friends. in the rain. it was so fun! amber dressed up as a stick figure...she wore a black sweatsuit and taped on glowsticks in the shape of a stick person. she could hardly walk lol

ive actually made a lot of friends here! and i am very proud of myself. :) i just need to work on being more social cuz the one time i actually went outside and hung out with people was the most fun id had in like a month.

ive done a lot of fashion design lately. i think i filled up like two and a half notebooks just this school year! everyone is in awe at my great skills.

jon has discovered that he can do the perfect kip dynamite voice. he does it all the time and he and i reenact napoleon's phone call home to ask for his chapstick. i get to be napoleon. :)

julia has a 99% in a.p. geography! yay me!! *claps*

i saw mamma mia on saturday. :) it was really good but pretty pg-13. we bought the soundtrack right afterwards but i havent opened it yet.

i actually have friends here!! i met a few girls at chrurch that i really like (well, i like all the girls in our ward. they're all really nice) and some at school that really like my fashion designs. :) so i have people to eat lunch with, which is good.

coco is the cutest little thing ever. :) i think she looks like an ewok. shes getting better with her potty training and she hasnt gone in my studio for a few days. i dont even know how she got up there! i guess she can climb the stairs or something. she had dissappeared one time and i was running around the house franically searching for her and when jon came home he asked where she was and i told him she was hiding. :) then lo and behold who appears at the top of the staris but our little queen bee herself! so we now have to worry about her going upstairs by herself too. :P

i'm so proud of him. :)

draggging yourself out of bed to watch the sunrise on a mountain backdrop with someone who actually cares about that kind of stuff...and realizing just how pretty it is.

when the best part of your christmas present is the way her face lights up when she hands it to you in the hall between french and science...genuinely hoping you like it, though she knows you'll love anything she gets you.

driving all the way up to the canyon to build a campfire, though you really would prefer to stay home and watch 'project runway,' only to burn your hands on the fire and eat way too many s'mores...but let your little brother have the time of his life.

the way your heart leaps when you see your best friend's name on the caller id...and still grinning hugely at the sound of her voice.

running out in the torrential rain and singing 'i believe i can fly' at the top of your lungs with the people you care most about...and coming back in as wet as if you had jumped in a swimming pool.

staring at the stars, and matching them to reasons to be alive, to be happy...and you run out of stars before you even get to designer handbags.

shopping with your best friends and trying on everything in your size (even if it's so ugly you about cry when you put it on)...and buy nothing because you have no money.

bawling your eyes out on the last day of school...and all your friends are there hugging you and tellling you it's gonna be okay, and to just go give him a hug, it's your last chance!

putting up with a friend's crazy obsession with celebrities and not laughing (too hard) at her...at least not to her face.

the way you feel when you're sobbing in your mom's arms and she tells you it'll get better, i promise, even though you know it never will...and somehow, when you look up from her tear-soaked shouder, you think you might just be able to pull through.

haha lyrics form the new jonas brothers album. ;) you all should buy it!! its amazing! and im not just saying htat because im freakishly obsessed...well, okay, mybe i am a little biased.

i went to go see batman for the second time with my second cousin, sydney, and her friend, kenzie. sydney cried. :) we went around to the stores that are near the theater afterwards (without an adult! utah is amazingly safe.) and got arby's curly fries for dinner. we were passing petsmart on our way to go play hide and seek in wal-mart and these two or three dudes came out with two beta fish and were like, 'wanna see 'em fight?' and they poured one into the other's cup/bowl/whatever. kenzie got really mad; shes a total animal activist. then the two guys working at petsmart who sold them the fish told them that is a felony in the state of utah to show people an animal fight. so the guys grabbed the fish and ran to their car to make them muder each other at ther house.

i went shopping at the two-floor mall again. :)

on tuesday, i went to boondocks with the girls from church. i was having a little mental breakdown on the way there, and in the line for the gokarts, but then i got in one and floored it and HECK i havent had that much fun in a LONG time. :) i killed. then jordyn and i went on the bumper boats. we were in the same boat, and this little kid was like stalking us and squirting us the whole time. our stupid water gun was messed up and only went about half as far as everyboy elses. then, once we had gotten all the way to the other side of the pool, our boat died. so we were stuck in the vary back corner with the kid attacking us. i yelled at him a lot but he didnt stop. we got very very wet. when the dude yelled for us to come back the kid grabbed our boat and towed us back in. it was hilarious. and we each got ten tokens to spend on games. between me and jordyn, we got nine tickets total. nine.

we went to thanksgiving point with grandma and gramdpa, and tori, zoe and lizzie. we roamed around this huge garden and i took a ton of pictures...until the stupid camera stupid froze up on me. :P we need a new one. i think that after i get all the pics off and onto the computer, i might 'accidentally' drop it so we can get a better one.

OMJOMJOMJ i think they are sooo cute together. and nick is just the sweetest thing!! i wanna date a jonas!!

soo...its been one week and four days since we moved in. i havent made any friends yet, though i do already know a couple people that live here. mom and i went to my school the other day to get my schedule and stuff. we are the mountain ridge huskies and we have to wear the ugliest gym uniforms ever. and we arent allowed to wear other clothes. :P on the bright side, gym is only for half the year!! im taking photography for the other half. they dont offer french 2 in ninth grade so im taking chinese instead. that, on top of ap history, algebra 2, and honors english, i might actually have to study. eew.

we finished up my studio today. it is the brightest shade of pink imaginable!! i absolutely love it and i spend most of my time there. i have a hot pink butterfly chair and a desk and my uncles keyboard, so i can sit and write songs or design outfits or draw vampires. :) or stare at my posters. thats fun too.

chursh was, ahem, interesting. the girls there are pretty friendly, if kinda ditsy. miranda and isabella were talking about the time isabella put ice cream in the fish's talk because she thought it would eat it. then miranda insisted that the ice cream would melt, and isabella thought that the fish would drink it. then miranda asked if fish drink, and jackson said, incredulously sarcastic, 'do fish drink? do people breathe?' he thought that fish drank through their gills and got oxygen out of the water that way. i just laughed and rolled my eyes but didnt bother to correct him. not even when they entered the field of fashion and started debating whether they were called 'leggings' or 'capri tights.'

we watched the 'so you think you can dance' finale a couple nights ago. it was absolutely phenominal!! the jonas brothers performed 'burnin up' and i screamed rediculously loud. i just hope the neighbors didnt hear.

we saw batman last night! if i could describe it in one word, it would probably be...

disturbing.

it was amazing though!! heath leger did a fabulous job. his joker laugh was chilling. i am, quite frankly, shocked that i didnt have nightmares. though i did see the jokers face every time i closed my eyes...

when the joker saw rachel, he said, 'hello beautiful.' that also happens to be a jonas brothers song, which i was going to put on my wall with those nifty wall sticker thingys. and its my ringtone. so im a little scared now.

it went a heck of a lot longer than was necessary.

still, a riveting movie, and worth seeing.

that is, if you can handle it.

we chased crabs again last night. we caught like a kajillion. i named them all and we managed to convince dennis not to eat them. we let them all go after about an hour and they all were scrambling around and crawling all over each other (and us) to get the the water. it was gross.

dennis bough MORE fireworks. again, we set off our whole supply in one night. being the brilliant people that we are, we didnt bother to use the lighter and lit all the fireworks off each other.

now, since all all of us are sunburned-some worse than others-we are planning a day out of the sun. kaitie and i really want to go see batman, but we are afraid there wont be any seats in the entire theater.

suzette made pancakes for breakfast this morning. yumm.

and also knowing that its all my fault that i look like a lobster because i put on my own sunscreen and trusted my brother to do my back. :P

so we sat in the car for...eight hours? maybe more...to get to the beach that was supposed to be four to five hours away. stupid traffic.

but here we are at the beach! we got here too late yesterday to get in the water, but we got a TON of fireworks and set them all off last night and went crab hunting on the beach. the night was so pretty...the moon was yellow-ish and you could see all the stars. there were a couple clouds, but it just made everything prettier. then all the smoke from the fireworks filled the air. it was fun though.

today we went boogie boarding in the ICE COLD ocean. it was freakishly freezing, but not so bad after you got numb. the waves were great, probably due to the tropical storm thats supposed to show up sometime soon. they said it was gonna come today, but, lo and behold, sun and very few clouds.

the water here has a LOT more seaweed that myrtle beach does. my swimsuit filled up really fast. ick.

and so here i am (with wi-fi! yay!) blogging and in pain because of a stupid sunburn. :P

i just got back from girls camp...

i missed the first of four days because i had a swim meet and i was still ready to leave by the end of day two.

canoeing <--spellcheck) was fun! hannah (a different one that i met at camp) and i tipped yumi's canoe and ended up tipping ours over too, so we were all floating in the water with our upside down canoes. we flipped ours back over but it was really full of water so we couldnt both get in a paddle back to shore, so hannah got in and sat in the middle and i held on to the back and kicked while hannah steered. then of course we learned that brother baumgarten wasnt kidding when he said that there were leeches in the lake. gross.

we went on this huge five mile hike that lasted FOREVER. but i shouldnt complain because i didnt have to go on the fourth year hike! haha! it was like eleven HOURS. but i did get a hugenormous blister that covers the entire bottom of my pinky toe. :(

needless to say, the first thing i did when i got home was take a long,long shower.
