its about rocks. and boys. and how i like to throw rocks at boys. not really, but there is one boy in particular that i wouldnt mind chucking a big rock at.

A Rock Poem
by Julia

I see a rock

Sitting there on

The ground.

I see a boy

Standing there

With his

Weird

Crazy

Strange-smelling

Friends.

I envision that rock

Flying

Through

The

Air

And hitting that boy

On the head.

And then

I

Laugh.

I wonder

Why

Do girls always think

Boys are just so

Gosh

Dang

Interesting?

They really aren’t.

They are fun to watch

Fall

Down

Stairs

But that’s about it.

They smell funny

They talk funny

They don’t care what we think

Or how we feel.

They don’t notice when we

Like

Them or if they do

They just don’t

Care.

They may p r e t e n d to care

But really

Deep

Deep

Deep

Down…

They

DON’T.

Or maybe it’s not

T

H

A

T

Deep, and we just wish it were.

I wonder

Why

Are boys so

I n s e n s i t i v e?

Why do they think that

Video Games

Is all that matters?

I will never

Never

NEVER

In a

Million

Trillion

Bazillion

Years

Understand boys.

I just find comfort

In the fact that for every

Stupid

Primitive

Smelly

Insensitive

Sexist

Pig-headed

Selfish

Controlling

Sweaty

Insane

(or all of the above)

B O Y…

There is a rock.

And with every rock…

There is a reason

To

Throw

It.

:(

i didnt make the team. *tear tear* but its okay, i guess. *shrugs* i didnt expect to anyway, after seeing all the people who can run a mile in under six minutes.

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

yes, they had us stay for ONE MORE DAY of tryouts!! we did the same stuff again, except they brought out the hurdles this time. i didnt even try them. i was very afraid of them, to say the least. especially after the longjump incident. :P and people would run and jump and hit a hurdle and it looked painful. and omar *haha* totally bellyflopped on the ground after a jump. it was soo funny! and it had just rained, so he fell in the mud. :) but yeah. i dropped a second on my mile, so now i can do it in 7:45. not too bad. i guess.

i want to make this team soooo badly! i even had a dream about it! i was running around the school telling everybody. so i hope this dream actually comes true. the one about being chased by mint-chocolate-chip pancakes...not so much.

we will find out who made the team this morning. wish me luck!!

Joe Jonas Dating Chelsea Staub?
Mon, 31 March 2008 at 2:23 am

After a bike ride with his younger brothers, Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers hold hands with actress Chelsea Staub during a shopping spree around Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Calif. on Sunday.

The couple shared a bag of chips and Joe, 18, made a purchase at Urban Outfitters.

Chelsea, 19, was in the family comedy Bratz and will soon be co-starring in J.O.N.A.S!, the new TV series starring the JoBros.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Joe and Chelsea as a couple?

*cry*

i finally had my governors school interview. after who knows how many weeks of stressing. and guess what? the people were NICE! i was shocked. i thought i was gonna be sooooooo scared, and not be able to speak, but they were just so NICE!!! but a little odd. they told me to talk to them like they were my "girlfriends." i was seriously tempted to say, "can you believe demi lovato is dating cody linley?!" but i kept my mouth shut.

they just asked the questions that are assumed to be on an interview:

what is governors shool to you?
why do you want to be in it?
what can you bring to the program?

stuff like that. and then, at the very end. they asked me if my eyelashes were real. yeah. i was like, "ummm, yes?" it was rather interesting.
soo...sorry for the late update. :P just havent gotten around to my blog lately!!

days two and three were pretty much the same as the first: lots of running. and now the pain is finally sinking in and it hurts to walk cuz my calves are so sore. :( but i can take the pain!! just rubbed some dirt in it (figuratively of course) and now im fine. we ran the 400 and 800 for time, and i did 1:36 (i think) on the 400 and 3:18 on the 800. not too great; a lot of people were in front of me, but not too shabby. then on day three we did the mile again, and i ran 7:46! thats a little faster than last time, but its DEFINITELY not six minutes. :P then we tried longjump. brace yourself. okay. ready? so they told us you fun really fast to build up speed, run up to the platofrm-thingy, lengthening your stride and slowing down as you come closer to it, jump while youre on the platform and before the second line on it otherwise youre disqualified, jump with one leg leading and the other pushing off, and while youre in the air you swing your arms in a butterfly-stroke-ish motion to get more distance and land with both your feet and your hands forward. *gasps for breath* yeah. so i was trying to process all this while sprinting down that runway-type-thing that leads up to the sand pit. i was going SUPERFAST, getting closer to the platform, running, running, running, and...

i forgot to jump.

yup.

leave it to me to forget to JUMP on the longJUMP.

theres a great mind at work for ya. :P
